Help your families stay safe!
The American Red Cross and its community partners have launched a Home Fire Campaign that aims to reduce deaths and injuries caused by home fires by 25% in five years. Red Cross teams are ready to install free smoke alarms and share fire safety information. You do not need to own your home to be eligible.
If you know someone who needs smoke alarms and fire preparedness information, encourage them to request a visit at http://www.redcross.org/ct/schedule-a-visit
During the home visit, the family will receive:
- Installed smoke alarms if no working smoke alarms are present in the home
- Guidance in the development of a Family Disaster Plan
- Valuable emergency preparedness tips and information
All demonstration and installation services will be performed by Red Cross-trained volunteers and/or licensed/insured professionals
